There will be a Special Executive Committee meeting at Chambuta, in Chiredzi on Friday 16 October 2020. Chambuta is a facility that is being used to cater for disadvantaged children where the First Lady Mrs Auxillia Mnangagwa is spearheading a programme to rehabilitate children in difficult circumstances while they are housed there. The children were rounded up from streets across the country and committed to Chambuta Rehabilitation Centre where they are attending school and being equipped with vocational skills by the First Lady under the Angel of Hope Foundation. She has invited urban local authorities and the corporate sector to support her in this endeavor whereby each local authority adopts a shelter and provides support to the children housed in the adopted shelter. A special Executive Committee will be held at Chambuta where members will deliberate on the matter and make resolutions on the matter. The Executive Committee of UCAZ includes Mayors and Town Clerks as members. The meeting is by invitation.
