Service Level Benchmarking (SLB) Focal Persons training workshop
Participants of the meeting are all Town Clerks, SLB Focal Persons (2 per council) and all PRCC members.
The Service Level Benchmarking (SLB) Peer Review programme is coordinated by the Peer Review Coordinating Committee (PRCC). The PRCC plans, coordinates and monitors implementation of the SLB programme. The PRCC is composed of representatives of town clerks, directors of housing, finance, health and town engineers as well as the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, Ministry of Health and Child Care, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. The PRCC is chaired by a Town Clerk. Each local authority has two focal persons for the SLB programme and these are responsible for coordinating the SLB programme in their local authorities. Town Clerks chair or head the Peer Review teams which conduct the Peer Reviews. At the beginning of the year the town clerks, the focal persons and PRCC members meet to review the previous year’s peer review process in order to address the anomalies or mistakes, if any, that were identified by the Peer Review teams during the peer reviews. The questionnaires are being improved every year.
The SLB Focal Persons Training Workshop is aimed at appraising the Focal Persons, Town Clerks and PRCC members on their roles and responsibilities in the forthcoming 2020 peer reviews which are scheduled to commence during the second week of February. The meeting is by invitation.
